Alerts and notices
How the automatic alerts on the gamma flip and the Net-GEX sign change work.
Alerts tell you automatically when something relevant happens, so you do not have to stare at the screen to catch a change in conditions.
What is flagged today
The alert engine works on the incoming data and, in its current configuration, watches two gamma-related conditions:
- Gamma flip crossed, price moves through the level where dealer gamma changes sign (often a volatility-regime transition).
- Net-GEX sign change, net gamma exposure goes from positive to negative or the other way round.
When a condition triggers, the alert appears with no action needed from you.
What is planned next
The engine is already prepared for further rules, thresholds on options net premium or on liquidity walls in the book, for instance, and for configurable alerts. For now the active rules are the two above; the others will be enabled together with a dedicated panel.
In short: alerts take away the job of “watching everything all the time”. Today they cover the key gamma transitions; customisation is coming.
